Hi pk,

It sounds like you must have recently taken a food sensitivity test. I think most people are better off minimizing their consumption of dairy, soy, and grains anyway, so you shouldn't necessarily feel unlucky about being told to avoid these foods. Even with a need to avoid eggs and shrimp, there are still plenty of nutritious whole foods to choose from. Any type of pasture raised meat, other forms of seafood besides shrimp, and a wide variety of vegetables and fruit. A positive way to look at this is that you can use it to push yourself towards a more healthy diet based on natural whole foods.

In regard to planning meals, simply pick a type of meat or seafood along with one or more vegetables and you're all set. This should be the foundation of each meal and it should be relatively easy to add additional foods or seasonings to suit your preferences.

Hi, I was just told I cannot eat any dairy, soy, gluten, kidney beans, egg whites, shrimp etc.. Feels like a death sentence. I am a very clean eater. The only things that are killing me are the dairy, yogurt, and eggs. Gluten is somewhat of an issue as well. Can anyone suggest a couple days menus to give me some ideas?? Please?

Hi Sunshine,

Yes, my diet is very basic, and I don't follow any recipes except on rare occasions when I want to try something new. Other people have also asked me about what I eat and I think it's a great idea for a post. Check back on Friday. :)

Hey there....thank you for all the very valuable information. You said that you follow a simple diet that is not too varied and dont have many recipes. I would LOVE for you to post or email me just a sample days diet for you. I like routine too and eat simple most of the time, I just think I'm eating the wrong things, or I do really well and then binge on sugar! Can you help a girl out?

I did the failsafe diet for a year when breastfeeding my daughter. One thing to keep in mind regarding dairy is whilst they don't tolerate normal milk they may tolerate A2 milk if you can get hold of it. The A2 contains a different type of casien protein that we handle a lot better due to it being so old, unfortunately these cows don't produce as much milk so over time they have been breed to produce A1 milk which is the standard protein you find in milk today.

So before omitting dairy completely it is a good idea to see if this is tolerated first rather then later in case lactose intolerance sets in from not consuming dairy for so long.
