Christmas is about spending time with friends and family and giving them gifts that will enrich their lives. Since there are few things that are as empowering or invigorating as excellent health, why not give some gifts that will help the people you care about most experience this for themselves?
The following are some gift ideas based on items that have improved my life, and I still use many of them on a regular basis. I hope that they truly help the people you may choose to give them to, and I also hope that you thoroughly enjoy the satisfaction that results.

Most people struggle to get out of bed each morning and rely on stimulants to get them through the day. Despite this, they pack each day full of activity and force themselves to do things that they don’t have the energy for. It seems that nearly everyone is guilty of this to some extent which is why it’s so important to realize how much this can affect your health and wellbeing.
Americans are getting an average of less than 7 hours of sleep each night and are busier and more stressed than ever. The physiological burden of dealing with an unprecedented number of activities and responsibilities each day and the excessive amount of stress that they create increases our need for sleep each night, but despite this increased need, many of us are compounding the problem by sleeping less.

The tremendous amount of electromagnetic radiation produced by modern technology has been associated with many health concerns. Although it’s impossible to completely avoid this radiation, there are fortunately a number of precautions that you can take to minimize your exposure.
Because electromagnetic radiation is such a complicated subject, one of the biggest challenges is simply understanding what it is. Once you have a basic understanding of electromagnetic fields and the radiation that they produce, it’s much easier to identify the different forms, appreciate the dangers that they pose, and understand what can be done to reduce your risk.

Although many people don’t realize it, a significant amount of human function depends on very subtle electrical currents and electromagnetic fields that are naturally generated by the earth and our own bodies. Electromagnetic fields have a significant influence on our cells, and in turn, the function of critical organs and glands. Unfortunately, many of our modern technological innovations are bombarding us with an alarming amount of unnatural electromagnetic fields that can interfere with these functions and have a significant impact on our health without us even realizing it.

With our high level of intelligence and the vast amount of technological innovation that we enjoy today, it’s ironic that excellent health is so elusive to so many people. Without any of the modern technology that we rely on today, our primitive ancestors were able to enjoy exceptional health and rarely encountered the many chronic and debilitating conditions that are so common today. These people had an intimate knowledge of nature and a tremendous appreciation for it which is something that we’ve lost without reliance on technology.
While our primitive ancestors were forced to live in agreement with nature, we seem to do everything we can to outsmart it, and we almost always fail. The following are some of the more notable and devastating mistakes that we’re still making.

Being an athlete is often associated with extraordinary physical talent, but in my opinion, it’s more about the ability to perform physically and mentally at a high level which is something everyone should strive for, even if you have no interest in sports whatsoever.
The Definition of a True Athlete
Ironically, many athletes, even at the professional level, are unhealthy. While they may run fast, jump high, and have an amazing physique, the inside of their body could very well be in disastrous shape. Because of the extreme physiological burden that athletes put on their body, they have even more of a need to follow healthy lifestyle habits than the average person, but very few of them do. The excessive amount of activity coupled with inadequate rest and nutrition amounts to a body that is being gradually destroyed from the inside.

Although we enjoy many of the great benefits that have resulted from the advancement of modern society, it has significantly changed the way we live, and in many ways, is having very unfortunate effects on our health and quality of life.
With the many conveniences of modern society, most of us have completely lost touch with the basic lifestyle habits that our ancestors followed and evolved on for more than 2 million years. As a result, we also tend to underestimate the intelligence of nature and the important lifestyle factors that allowed many of our ancestors to be lean, strong, happy, and healthy well into their old age.

Alcohol is a significant part of the modern lifestyle, and even though most of it’s health risks are well known, many people still drink alcohol in excessive amounts and on a regular basis.
As a byproduct of yeast fermentation, alcohol is classified as a mycotoxin which means that it’s a toxic substance produced by fungus. Other common sources of mycotoxins include mold spores, antibiotics, and hallucinogenic drugs. Many of us have experienced the toxicity of alcohol in the form of a hangover, and as such, the damaging effects of alcohol shouldn’t be much of a surprise.

Everyone keeps talking about the benefits of fish oil and krill oil, but when I take either of these, I have trouble sleeping. Any suggestions?
Fish oil and krill oil are popular health supplements primarily because of their fatty acid content. While fat doesn’t deserve the villainous reputation it’s been given, most people know about the importance of the omega-6 and omega-3 essential fatty acids. Because they can’t be produced by the body, these essential fatty acids must be supplied through diet.

While there are mixed opinions on the benefits of daylight saving time, there’s undeniable evidence that it can have a notable impact on your health.
History of Daylight Saving
Although daylight saving affects life in a variety of ways, including health and even crime, it’s original intention has always been to save money. In the late 1800s, Benjamin Franklin realized that many people were staying awake well past sunset and awaking well after sunrise. Candles were being burned late into the night while hours of sunlight were being wasted each morning. Franklin saw this as a tremendous money saving potential.
