Is a Vegetarian Diet Healthy?

Most people associate a vegetarian diet with good health, but is this true? I came across a comment today suggesting that humans are more suited to be vegetarians than carnivores. I don’t quite agree with that and thought it would be a nice topic for discussion.

Vegetarianism is a fairly common practice and I’ve come across quite a few people who have embraced it. Some of them are healthy, yet some aren’t. But if fruits and vegetables are so good for you, how can this be? The answer is simple. Everyone is different. We each have a unique need for different nutrients and not all of us can get the nutrients we need from a vegetarian diet.

Wouldn’t you like to feel great along with looking great? Aside from having a good program to follow, the one thing that differentiates the people who succeed from those who don’t is determination. The more meaning and impact your goal has, the more determined you’ll be to achieve it.

Striving for the optimal health that will have you feeling great and help keep you disease free is a much more meaningful goal that will naturally cause you to loose weight and look as great as you’ll feel. So instead of basing your goals for the new year on how you’ll look in a swimsuit, maybe it’s time to focus on implementing a healthier lifestyle that will give you much more than just a trim figure.
