I work as a dry grocery stocker and spend half of my work time in the baking aisle. 3 products are asked about by many people and I try to help. I have sent some here and carry a few of these posts with me so they can read them. Sweetners, whole grains (mostly wheat), and oils are their main concerns. This is a college town so maybe this might help those whom really want to learn. Others just grab the sweet goodies and run. They do everything according to what the Pharmaceutical giants tell them. Why don't you just take arsenic??? Stevia has NO side effects that will harm you....FDA knows it...so does the Pharmaceutical companies....it's not BIG PROFIT for them so them SCARE people into taking their sweet poison!...Do your homework....for your OWN good...don't take anyone's word for anything....not even your beloved uneducated Dr. who hasn't been educated in taking care of your health naturally...Same story with Flouride....make everyone nice and docile....easier to control you....which is the governments plan....read up people! The purpose they're supposed to serve is a useful one, they just aren't serving it right now. There are plenty of intelligent people there and I'm sure many of them have good intentions. Hopefully those that don't will be weeded out with the new administration and the FDA will begin to finally operate according to it's slogan. Well, my intentions aren’t to bash the FDA. It's great that your mom decided to avoid aspartame, but Splenda has some issues as well. Although it originates from sugar, it is chemically processed to the point where it no longer resembles natural sugar and can't be digested. That's why it's advertised as having zero calories. However, even though it's not digested, your body still absorbs some of it, and as with any unnatural substance, this poses health risks. Thanks Jenny!
