You're quite welcome, Patty!

Yes, we seem to have a talent for harming ourselves with our own "innovations." Hopefully we can improve the safety of the technology that we have today and be more cautious and thorough with future technology.

Hi Walter, thank you for your comment!

You may very well be right about climate change. In B. Blake Levitt's book, she says that some frequencies of electromagnetic radiation have the potential to reach the magnetosphere and change it's structure. The magnetosphere is the magnetic region surrounding the earth that protects us from the deadly ranges of the sun's radiation, and such changes can have "profound implications on global weather patterns."

There has been a 25% increase in thunderstorms in North America between 1930 and 1975 in comparison to the preceding 30 years. I suspect that this number has since increased.

The last generation was probably better off!

Thank you for putting up such an informative post. It's so important for people to be aware of and learn how to protect themselves as much as possible from electromagnetic radiation. Interesting how often we humans tend to turn something natural and innocuous into things that are harmful and potentially life threatening. The upside for me is the promise in the Holy Scriptures at Revelation 11:18 that says God has an appointed time to bring to ruin those ruining the earth. A real blessing for all those who want to have a truly positive impact on our beautiful planet.

We are living in precarious times. Electromagnetic fields have been ubiquitous anywhere. It's all in our electronic gadgets, it's on our atmosphere--thanks to the thinning ozone layer--and the radiations released by the never-ending war between nations. No wonder our climate has changed significantly. It makes me think that we are living in the last generation. :-)

Thanks, Phil! You're right, the only thing you can do to avoid the blanket of radiation in cities is to move to a more rural area. However, there will still be some exposure, and as I pointed out to Tina, this is certainly not the only source of radiation, and just because we can't do anything about it doesn't mean we shouldn't be concerned with other sources. It's not all or nothing!

You can minimize your exposure to cell phone radiation by using a simple phone that doesn't use all of the modern data features, by not having it on all the time, and most importantly, using speakerphone or a wired headset instead of holding it directly up to your ear.

You can also minimize your exposure in an office by properly arranging the furniture and equipment. I'll discuss this in more detail in the next article. If the radiation is bad enough, you can also complain about it. Although it might require educating and convincing the right people, you might be surprised at how willing an employer may be to rectify the situation. It's not unheard of for a company to relocate to a different office because of this.

Hi Tina, thanks for your comment! Although we're all exposed to varying amounts of electromagnetic radiation that we can't do anything about, there are also many sources that we do have control of, and there definitely is a lot that can be done to minimize our exposure to them. More to come soon!

Excellent post, Vin. Informative, but somehow I don't feel there's much that can be done to ameliorate the effects of the electromagnetic field on our bodies other than impractical solutions like not using cell phones. How can you avoid the vast amounts of electromagnetic energy blanketing our cities and offices? Either you go tribal and go live in the Rockies, or you accept that we're being bombarded and simply hope for the best. I hope your next article proves me wrong!

I look forward to learning how to minimize exposure. I don't spend much time concerning myself with electromagnetic radiation because there's nothing I can really do about it. I don't have a cell phone because I spend too much money on nourishing foods. But other than that, I have all modern appliances and lived in a suburb so I'm sure my family is exposed to all kinds electromagnetic radiation.
