Hi Bryan,

As far as I know, water ionization is more about giving water ionic properties rather than removing toxic substances. If you have any legitimate references supporting the claim that water ionization is a more effective filtration method than reverse osmosis, I'd love to check them out.

Although I try to be open minded, I'm suspicious of the claims behind ionized water which don't seem to have any scientific support. Based on this, I haven't really had a good reason to look into it further. I'm sorry I can't provide any more information than that.

I've recently been turned onto ionized water filtration. It seems that this is superior to other forms of filtration, such as reverse osmosis. I've just started researching into ionized water but from what i've read so far, if it is accurate, then it seems like the way to go for water filtration. Though the units I've looked at so far, Enagic's Kangen, are pretty pricey. Have you looked into water ionizers or done any reasearch on the technology and benefits/drawbacks?

Hi Audra, thanks for sharing your experience! I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better and that this information helped you to stay hydrated while dealing with your infection. Hopefully you'll keep up the habit of drinking more water and stay well hydrated all the time!

This is great information. I went away to a foreign country and got some sort of bug that gave me severe diarrhea. Because of this, I had all the symptoms you are describing, including severe headaches and brown urine. I have been back for a month now and my asthma and allergies are finally going back to normal; I had high blood pressure when I got back (my normal is 105/65, and it was 150/80 on my first doctor's visit); I still have problems with digestion and lots of heartburn. The doctor told me it will take a while for these to clear up, even as I've been drinking more water. Thanks for helping me understand what's been going on with me.
